# 110 - Rock Creek Falls, Calaveras County, California, 2000
It was February 26, 2000, I took a afternoon drive heading east up highway 26 with plans to photograph in the Milton area. I first went to Hunt creek, a favorite area, but the creek was just about dry, so I headed towards Rock Creek about two miles to the south. When I arrived I noticed that the water flow here was quite good. I scouted a few locations up stream with nothing catching my interest. I drove back down stream about 1/2 mile and decided to photograph this waterfall. I've been here in the past when there was 2 to 3 times the amount of water flow but this tends to obscure any of the small details which you see in the above photograph. It was slightly overcast when this image was taken and I like it better than another one where there was some sunlight striking the falls. |
