# 103 - Cascade, Rock Creek, Calaveras County, California, 1995
| After a day at work I decided to take a evening drive to the foothills east of my home in Stockton, California. It's about a 40 minute drive to Rock Creek where it comes out of Salt Springs Valley Reservoir just east of Milton. I was able to get out in the middle of the creek by standing on some large tree roots. This provided a nice straight upstream perspective of the cascade. It was starting to get dark and the sky was overcast which was a nice combination of lighting as there were no harsh shadows and the overcast provided a nice glow to the scene. A long exposure of 45 seconds rendered the water in the foreground smooth with subtle streaking outward. |
