I first came across this house a few weeks before while photographing in the central valley of California around the city of Tracy and the Altamont. After developing those negatives I was unhappy with the results and decided to rephotograph this particular image with a different film and develop the negatives with a different developer. The results from the second time around were exactly what I wanted and were along the lines of how I visualized the image with the dark sky and brilliant clouds with much better separation of tonal values within the entire scene.
