# 235 - Benton Range, Storm Clouds, Eastern California, 2002
October
1, 2002 @ 2:00pm
The above image is what came out of the initial downburst of weather in Image #239, and when the storm had passed there was a fresh dusting of snow on all the surrounding mountains. I chose to place the foregound of the image low within the scene, since for the most part, the lower portion was simply sagebrush and the most dramatic part of the scene lies in the mountains and clouds. This photograph was difficult to make due to the strong winds that were buffeting the camera around, I chose to use a larger lens aperture than normal which would allow me to use a faster shutter speed in hopes of reducing any camera movement from the wind. |
