As I was waiting out a rain storm in the relative comfort of my truck, I was watching it snow in the nearby higher mountains and as soon as the rain let up enough to setup my camera gear I went to work composing the above image. The clouds were changing very quickly and it was difficult to decide when might be the most appropriate moment to make a series of exposures to capture the moment. I took four different photographs of this scene but I believe only one, the one above captured the moment of the broken clouds of the departing storm and the fresh snow on the mountain.
