# 208 - Stump, Granite, Castle Rock, Emigrant Wilderness, California, 1989
| During a day hike in the Emigrant Wilderness east of Pincrest California a good friend and I stopped to have lunch under some pine trees along the shore of Lake Powell, a small high Sierra Lake. After lunch we scouted around and I came across this stump growing right out of the granite and I noticed the peak in the distance and composed it within the frame the stump and pine tree provided. This image was taken with a Olympus OM2n 35mm through a dark red filter which rendered the sky almost pure black. |
