This
is another photograph taken on my way home from a 4 day stay in Mammoth
Lakes California. The location is Siesta Lake along highway 120 in central
Yosemite National Park. I walked around the lake searching for nice compositions
of the lake and came across this scene after making just about a complete
circle around the lake, I had started out walking around the lake in the
upper right portion of the image above and proceeded around the back side.
It was getting dark with the clouds becoming denser as the approaching
storm intensified. There was a slight breeze to contend with blowing the
grasses but it would settle down for a few seconds every few minutes or
so and allowed me to get off a few shots during these lulls. This lake
is popular with photographers, each time I drive by this small lake I see
at least one photographer trying to catch that fleeting moment. |
