# 309 - Forest, Log, Autumn Foliage, Yosemite Valley, 1999
| I was out hiking around the eastern portion of Yosemite Valley in search of autumn foliage when I came across this scene in the vicinity of Happy Isles. The log in the foreground leading into the image draws your eye towards the light autumn foliage. The lighting in the southern side of the valley during this time of the afternoon is by reflected off the granite cliffs on the north side of the valley. The reflected light from the granite provides a natural glow that is a beautiful source of indirect light. |
